Unique content creation is crucial for entrepreneurial credibility these days. I am often asked about content creation and how I am able to generate consistent content that is both educational and aesthetically pleasing. Truth is, I couldn’t do it alone! I lean on a few technology blessings (aka apps) for pretty, yet, meaningful content creation and now… I want to share them with you!
Pexels
Honestly, this app really has THE BEST stock photos around and you can sort them by color, keyword, and even by the top suggested searches. All the photos are free to use and the quality is amazing. It almost feels like the content is unlimited and the themes by color are consistent, so it is nice for the branding on your grid. I know you can purchase stock photos from photographers directly and even on Etsy now, which is great, but if you’re trying to keep your dollars in the bank; Pexels is a great place to start.
Line Camera
Pro tip: Don’t edit your photos IN Instagram, I highly recommend you use a 3rd party app for the best editing quality on all of your visuals. It has about a million filters so I never feel like I need to manually edit any of my photos. I have a few filters that I’ve marked as favorites and use consistently to have the same look & feel. I swear, I’ve used what feels like a million apps and I am in love with Line Camera, it’s amazing for photo editing and even has a selfie edit mode for blemishes!
Desygner
This app is amazing for graphic design, logo creation, and even just simply adding text to photos. It’s super easy to use and has all the editing options I need. I started out a Canva girl but the app kept failing and I had trouble downloading my completed files… so I made the switch and am not looking back! Desygner even lets you add based on “project” to keep yourself organized and it’s super easy to use and no bugs so far!
Planoly
One thing you learn pretty quickly when you’re managing multiple Instagram’s is that – it REALLY helps to have a plan. I use Planoly to schedule all Instagram posts and plan my personal and business Instagram feeds. It allows you to tag people, schedule posts to see your top 6/9, and (my favorite) you can save your hashtags by topic, which is a MASSIVE timesaver! It’s not a free app, but it’s my favorite so far after trying a few scheduling apps in the past.
iPhone notes
I also carry around a legit notebook but my Notes is definitely my most used app. Not only do I use it to write ALL of the things down, I use it as a running journal entry writing on my phone which is really where the majority of my writing happens these days! Another fun thing about iPhone notes is that the line breaks and ‘enters’ you use to craft your posts copy right over to Instagram (or Planoly) and it’s nice because I am currently crafting this sentence on my laptop after having started the paragraph on my phone! #Winning!
I hope these apps help you to set yourself apart from your product or service based upon who you are as a person, what sets you apart from your competition, and what makes YOUR brand unique. What apps am I missing? What are your favorites?

I’ll have to take a look at Line Camera, though I absolutely LOVE editing photos in Instagram! As a long-time Photoshop user, I still recommend IG editing. My mobile choice has been Aviary.
