How To Use Social Media Effectively
Everyone knows that if you aren’t using social media for your business already, you should be. It is hands down the number one way to get your business out there and it is FREE advertising! However, you must know how to use social media effectively to get the results you desire. Check out my social media tips below and my interview on LadyBossBlogger here to learn more about me!
It is so important to get your message out on a consistent basis. It gives something for people to follow and look forward too! For example, Monday–Friday I always make sure to post content between 8am-12pm! Timing is super important, if you post first thing in the morning, you will be on people’s feeds and be the first thing they see when they wake up!
Share Viral Videos/Memes
Sometimes you just need some mindless funny content on your social media, it allows people to get to know more about you on some personal level outside straight business postings. Things go viral because it relates to many people, so it can help your audience relate to you and allow them to discover the person behind the brand.
Share Positive Quotes
Everyone loves motivation and inspiration. Share the love and inspire others while you’re doing it! Pinterest is a great outlet to find some unique content/quotes. A good Instagram account to follow for daily motivation is @ladybossblogger. Every day Elaine Rau posts a new quote from a female entrepreneur at 6PM central time along with a helpful resource blog post (like this one)!
Create Organic Content
Every once in a while, upload a picture of you and your team behind-the-scenes of your business. Similar to viral videos, people want to support you and your brand, want to see what your about, and what you do day to day. Sometimes our most vulnerable moments make us the most admirable. Everyone loves a little peek into people’s personal lives.
Step Outside Your Comfort Zone
Go like and comment (do both) on posts that interest you. You never know what it can lead to – perhaps a business connection or even a referral! The point of social media is to be SOCIAL so make sure you are getting yourself out there and connecting with people on a deeper level. People like to do business with people they like! And they can’t like you if they don’t know you!
