Choice

You must make a choice that you no longer want to be common, that you no longer want to sit on the sidelines of your career, that you are ready to shift your mindset.

It starts with you. Dig deep within and wake up the superhero inside.

“It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not.”

Conversation

You must have a conversation with yourself that you will no longer operate from a common place. Instead, you will begin to operate from a place of confidence.

You must do an inventory of your strengths and weaknesses. Once you know your strengths, you can articulate them to yourself, your leaders and your peers. Do not focus on your weaknesses; it’s important to know what they are, but don’t dwell on them.

In order for someone else to love you, you need to love yourself.

Change

Change is not always easy nor is it usually welcomed, but you will not see growth by continuing to do things as you have always done them. In order to go from common to confident, you are required to make some changes.

That said, be cautious in making a drastic change that causes you to operate from an inauthentic place. Instead, make many small changes that ultimately end with a big result.

“If you really put a small value upon yourself, rest assured that the world will not raise your price.” 

Commitment

Change doesn’t happen overnight; it requires commitment. First, you are replacing habits that don’t add value with positive habits that promote growth. Once you have identified what you want to change, you have to commit to doing something daily to support that change.

Consistency

Consistently chose to operate from a place of confidence. Consistently have positive thoughts about your abilities and remove the negative self-talk. Consistently add value in meetings, build relationships with others, and show up as a strategic thinker, a leader and a high achiever.

When you do these, you will gain visibility, be considered for promotions and land high paying clients.
