What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?

I am an accidental entrepreneur meaning that I didn’t have a formal plan to start my own business. My mission, as a mentor, is to help entrepreneurs show up in their brilliance, not to re-make them. As an internationally known expert in mindset, money and marketing, I am able to help my clients accelerate their success no matter the level of their current business.

Tell us about your business.

As someone who is focused on helping clients get the results they are seeking, I use my Money Acceleration System™ with everyone I work with. This five-step process guides my clients out of their comfort zone and ultimately leads them to their zone of genius. During this process, I use tapping, Laws of Attraction and my business development expertise. As a result, my clients are able to get the clarity they need, the inner game to achieve and ultimately, the results they desire.

Where is your business based?

Success Coaching with Kate is based in Boston, although, the majority of my clients work with me virtually. I also host exclusive retreats, the most recent being in Costa Rica.

What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?

As a former business development executive, I continue to use many of the steps, which included getting out from behind the computer and networking/connecting with as many people as possible. I created a follow-up process which allowed me to enroll a high number of clients. Most importantly, I had a mentor to help me shift my mindset from fear to one of success.

What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?

I am a connector! I love to meet new people, be interviewed on radio shows, podcasts, TV shows and telesummits. I have found these activities to be very effective in growing my business.

What have been your biggest challenges so far?

As the old expression says, “new level, new devil”. My success has happened very quickly and as a result, I have relied heavily on mentoring to help with the marketing and mindset needs of growing a business.

How did you overcome these challenges?

Both through mentorship programs and also developing a really great self-care routine, which includes motivational audios, tapping, exercise and eating healthy.

How do you keep motivated through difficult times?

I get support. I walk my talk and believe that everyone needs support – someone to guide them forward and pick them up when they’re feeling stuck. I also have a small group of close friends who support one and another.

How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?

I don’t believe in “competition” as it is viewed in the corporate world. I do, however, believe that we each have our own style and that like attracts like. The entrepreneurs who are drawn to me are typically smart and talented but something is keeping them stuck at their current level. With my high level of mindset and marketing expertise, I am quickly able to help my clients work through these problem areas and move closer to what they desire. I also focus on the journey – not just the end result. After all, what is the point of the end result if you hate the journey!

What is the best advice you have received recently?

Manifested is not the same as manifesting.

What is a good article or book you have read recently?

One of my favorites which I read over and over is “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz.

What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?

I am always learning and growing in various areas of my business, one of my biggest focuses is social media.

What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?

I am hosting a brand new transformational event “Conversations To Clients Live™” that I’m over-the-moon excited about. This won’t be like any that I have previously hosted and I am super focused on creating an amazing experience for all attendees. I get to show up in my brilliance and in turn, allows others to show up in theirs.
