What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I stumbled into entrepreneurship accidentally, but now see that it was my path all along. What began as a creative outlet and passion project has now grown into a thriving business that I’m able to make a living off of.
Tell us about your business.

Where is your business based?
A tiny town in West Michigan.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
I started with a secret blog and a whole lot of heart. Having made literally every mistake along the way, I have a better understanding of where my client’s are and can meet them there.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Get social! Share valuable content, be human, engage in a way that is genuine and real.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Reigning my super creative brain into efficient, organized systems.
How did you overcome these challenges?
Working with a coach, taking more classes than I’d like to admit, and a whole lot of trial and error.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
Self care is the root of all success (and the one that gets away from us the most quickly). Take time for you along the way and develop systems that are sustainable so you don’t burnout. I promise it will feel weird, but I promise it will be worth it.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I don’t care how successful your social media is if you feel like garbage while you’re creating it. I address marketing from a soul-centered perspective – and don’t want you committing to schedules and strategies that sacrifice your well-being.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
“Everything we need is already there. The challenge is letting go of all our stuff in the way.” -Tara Stiles
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Make your own rules. What’s right for someone else may not be right for you. Slow down and listen to your gut.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
I’m obsessed with my content calendar because it allows me to log off and live while still growing my business.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
“Tiny Beautiful Things” by Cheryl Strayed.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I’m growing to a point where I’m ready to hire a team (eee!), so I’m looking for a crew who has the same vision and goals for growth.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
I’m launching my course Social Media with Soul at the end of September and cannot wait to create massive change for my students. To see if you might be a great fit, join my free 5 Day Instagram Growth Challenge (click here to join).
