What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
The biggest motivation to start my business was my own healing journey. I wanted to help people heal from lack of self-love, addictions, and depression as I did. After finishing a certification in Spiritual Psychology and witnessing the in-numerous transformation I went through, I felt ready to follow the guidance to coach others. I know how it feels to want to heal and create a meaningful, joyful life without knowing how to start, and I was called to use my life experience to help people achieve that.
I started my healing journey after having a spiritual experience the day of my father’s death in which I was overwhelmed with an inner knowing that he was alive, full of love and still able to communicate with me. My hope is that anyone searching for healing and purpose doesn’t have to wait until something painful happens; that’s why I started my business.
Tell us about your business.
In professional terms I will say that I am a life coach Certified in Spiritual Psychology, but I am more than that. I am an honest, compassionate, and loving friend to my clients, and I combine my intuitive and energy-healing abilities with the principles of Spiritual Psychology to support their process. My main goal is to help my clients heal unresolved issues holding them back from being the amazing shining light that they truly are. I do that by encouraging them to connect with their higher selves to joyfully accept themselves and create a heart-centered fulfilling life.

Where is your business based?
I live in New York City and travel to Los Angeles often, but I am not limited by location since I do most of my coaching services by phone, Skype, and emails.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
I knew for a while that I wanted to help others wake up to the unlimited potential within. The first step I took was to enroll in The University of Santa Monica to heal my unresolved issues blocking the creation of my dreams. This program helped me heal while teaching me how to facilitate healing to others. Right after graduation, I hired a business coach aligned with the kind of work I was interested in doing to guide me through the process. It was extremely helpful to have someone spiritually aligned and business savvy to help me with the business structure. The third step I took was to create a website in which I can share my story and connect with my soul mate clients. I love having an outlet to provide significant content and strive to make a change. To connect with people I meet on the busy streets of NYC, I created a flyer with my information including a small guide of 3-steps to make Self-Love your new drug.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
I have been surprised by the interest to work with me from people that know me and saw my transformation. The best advertisement is to be what you offer. If you are kind, joyful, loving and fully present during each interaction, people around you will ask you how can they do the same; that’s when my expertise comes in. To create a bigger impact, I recently started advertising my website and meditations on social media and have seen a definite increase in my heart-centered tribe.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
My biggest challenge has been staying consistent in social media. My coach is constantly reminding me to post daily to attract more clients, but I rather spend my time coaching, recording meditations or writing. I find keeping up with all the social media platforms very time-consuming.
How did you overcome these challenges?
It is a work in progress, but I found that being kind and patient with myself is key. I lovingly forgive myself if I forget to stay on top of social media and move forward to makes changes accordingly. I am taking the time to learn some helpful tools to manage my daily post better.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
Difficult times are my biggest motivator because those situations are the ones that help me grow. I believe that everything is for the purpose of learning and awakening into our unlimited potential. During those times, I make sure I meditate to connect with my true self and stay grounded, and I also use the principles of Spiritual Psychology to reframe the issue as an opportunity. I love to practice a technique I learned to connect with my inner-counselor or higher self to seek heart centered solutions.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
We are all unique with a special message to share with the world. I do not think of anyone as a competitor but as an inspiration. I look up to women working hard to help others and make an impact. The people that I am meant to help will find my teachings valuable, and others will find another coach equally capable. We live in an infinite universe, and there is no lack of people and resources, and that’s one of the main messages I want to spread; there is always enough.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
The best advice I received recently came from the amazing teacher Marianne Williamson. She said during one of her weekly lectures in NYC, “start right now.” She explained that the people that we are meant to help are just one step behind us and we have the tools to guide them forward. As we learn and overcome an issue, we are capable of helping those struggling with the same problem. I live by this idea and get up every morning excited to teach and share whatever I am learning and overcoming at the moment; those are the little things that create trust and connection.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
My advice is the same. Start right now whatever it is you want to create. Do not wait for perfection or to be ready, if you are guided to do something just say yes and go for it. The universe will provide the people and the resources you’ll need as you move forward.
What is your favorite business tool or resource?
I am in love with canva.com. Since my filmmaking days, I enjoy creative projects and this website helps me create visually appealing content. I also use voice memos to record guided meditations for my clients. It is easy, effective and I can record with my phone from anywhere and sent it to my clients by email or text. I love it!
What social media outlets do you use? List them below.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
I recently read “The Surrender Experiment” by Michael A. Singer and it is a most read. This book is an excellent example of what it means to create from the heart, following your inner guidance and then surrendering the outcome. The author takes you on his journey from living in the woods meditating to writing best selling books and building a billion-dollar company.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I am now learning to use Hootsuite.com to schedule my posts and create a bigger social media presence. I like the idea of having control of my time while staying active with my loving tribe.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
My goal is to keep growing and sharing my content with the world. To do that I am currently writing a book, which will take the reader on a 33-day transformation journey. I am also excited to share that I am recording a meditation album and would be ready by early 2017. I am making the intention to stay active in social media to bring my work to a bigger audience.
