An Author, Philanthropist, Public Speaker, and a Self-Publishing Consultant; Desiree Lee, a California Native, delivers dynamic, high energy messages wrapped in a package unlike any you’ve seen before. In recent years, Desiree has shared the stage with Honorable Judge Greg Mathis, who has been featured as the Keynote Speaker at the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (Chattanooga Chapter) and Judge Penny Brown at the Reynolds’ Sister Talk Conference, just to name a few. She has also had the opportunity to share her story with Ambassador Andrew Young, featured panelist at the 2014 A3C, Festival and has made many Prevention Presentations to middle and high school students nationwide in an effort to combat youth incarceration. Authors In Business Co.™ Five Star Community was formed as an extension of the DLeeInspires LLC Brand by Self-Publishing Consultant Desiree Lee for the purposes of accountability, collaborative energy, knowledge sharing, and support. A combination of formal and informal sessions by serving others.

Where is your business based?
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
I am more of a visionary. I can see years in advance and for me it takes a mentor that can take what I see in my mind and implement it in reality step by step. So, the first step was obtain a mentor that matched my way of thinking.

How did you overcome these challenges?
Knowing that there are millions of strangers that I have met and have not met yet who are depending on me to finish.

Putting people before business.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Embrace the love from your audience. You are worth it!
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Do the best you can with what you HAVE, until you can do better. The goal isn’t to live forever but to create an impact that does. You have the answers and stop asking permission from others to give you validation to complete your assignment in the lives of others.

I am currently learning how to love my clients unconditionally and to become a better instructor than I was yesterday.
