Marie Melendez is Florida grown; she was born and raised in Orlando, FL. She is married to Jordan, a former law enforcement officer and her partner in her real estate business. She has 2 handsome sons, Jayden and Josias, and a large dog, a French Mastiff named Fawn.
She is a part of Keller Williams Realty and her office is based out of Lake Nona (a growing affluent suburb of southeast Orlando). Marie enjoys, hiking, swimming, sunrises & sunsets all while spending time with her family.
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
What motivated me to start my business was my family. I want to build and leave a lasting legacy of wealth and financial freedom.

In the first few months of starting up my business, I was awarded for interacting with the most people and I had my first sale/listing within the same month!Â
Where is your business based?
My business is based out of Orlando, FL (Central Florida Area).
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
The first few steps I took to get my business up and running was contacting my friends and family and letting them know what an exciting new career move I had just made.
The second step was asking them if they would help support me.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Getting out there and meeting new people and networking and also through social media marketing.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
My biggest challenge so far has been being my own boss and trying to figure out how to balance my work/life.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I have overcome these challenges by setting goals and systems and routines in place to help me be better organized.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I keep myself motivated through difficult times by exercising and remembering WHY I started and what I’m pressing towards. My goals keep me moving forward.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
How I distinguish myself from my competitors is having the business model and attention to details and giving my all my clients the most seamless process as possible. I love getting to call my clients my friends!

The best advice I received recently was “If you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe then you will be successful.” – Dr. ETÂ
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
My advice to other entrepreneurs is don’t QUIT even when it gets hard. Also, Rome wasn’t built in a day, so success isn’t from one day it’s consistently doing it and working towards your goals and dreams.

My favorite business tools and resources would honestly be my phone you can do just about anything with it and it’s my money maker!

I’m currently learning how to expand my business and reach others around the globe!
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
My goals for the few months is to crush my goals for the end of this year, I’m striving to achieve them by boasting up my activity and meeting more people and marketing strategically.
