Andrea Richie desires to reach enough women so that there can be a generational change of valuing one’s inner voice and creating the life women actually want. Read our interview with the lovely Andrea below…
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
It began because I was pretty sure if I kept living my life the way I had been, I’d kill myself. I was so tired of pretending that everything was great all the time when the truth was it took every bit of energy to get out of bed and go to work. I tried getting other jobs. I was tired of waiting for someone else to make it okay for me to change my life. It took me years to figure out what I wanted. When I did, it broke my heart to see so many other people settling for a life that didn’t make them happy.
Tell us about your business.
Real Life Perfect represents the life you want to live. Not magazine perfect, but a life that’s filled with the moments that light you up. Traveling cross country, the messy birthday cake that your kid decorated especially for you, a day at the park, or hanging out at the hottest nightclub. It’s different for everyone, but only you know what it looks like. We grow up being told that someone else knows better than us what will make us happy. So, we do all the right things and one day you look around and realize you’re not happy at all. Even worse, you have no idea how to fix it. You have bills to pay and people who depend on you, so you don’t have the luxury of being able to take off for months to find yourself or to completely start over. I help women create the life they want by creating shifting and building on what they already have and using powerful tools that work with their lives.
Are you currently running any promos/contests/giveaways that you would like our readers to know about?
I have a free guide to Reconnect with Your Inner Voice in 5 Days. Your inner voice knows what you want and what’s right for you, but over the years we stop listening. This guide shows you simple ways to start listening again so you have an easier time figuring out what’s right for you.
Where is your business based?
I currently live in Jacksonville, NC but my business is completely location independent. My clients live all over the world. The women that work with me privately do so over the phone or Skype so location isn’t an issue. My digital courses can be accessed anywhere you have wifi.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
The first steps came to me all at once. I had been teaching people how to align their businesses to their core self and that’s the part I really enjoyed. Those “aha” moments, the transformations that lit them up and the moment they find the next step on their path. I was drawn to help more people, not just entrepreneurs. I wanted to be able to help women who had jobs or stay at home moms too.
One sunny December day I had my own AHA moment and everything came together for me. A plan for a 6 week intensive came together like magic. It took everything I helped entrepreneurs with and expanded it. It was the answer to what so many people were struggling with plus it gave them the freedom to design their life according to their unique vision. That’s when I became the Transformation Concierge. I used this outline in my 1:1 work and the women I worked with were getting big results fast.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
I’ve got almost all my clients using Facebook and Facebook groups. I love it because I get to connect with so many amazing women that I wouldn’t have the chance to meet any other way. Sharing videos has also had a huge effect because it let’s people get to know me in a way that writing can’t.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Finding my ideal clients, because they’re everywhere but they don’t talk about being unhappy because their lives look pretty good on paper. They don’t want to complain when others have it so much worse. For a lot of us we’re taught that okay is good enough. My clients have reached the point where good enough isn’t good enough anymore. They want MORE.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I started joining groups that appealed to me when I was unhappy with my life and when I was lost and trying to find myself again. I connect by sharing my message, tips, stories and letting them know “You’re not a bad person for wanting more.” They reach out to me or join my FB Group and when they’re ready we work together.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I remember how I felt when I was unhappy with my life and I focus on creating a community of women who know what they want and are ready to create that life. If I reach enough women we could have a generation of kids that never have to go through this because they never forgot to value their inner voice. They would know they can create any life they want. You have to keep going when you have that vision.
How did you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I’m a Transformation Concierge. I’m not going to tell you what you want or what you should do. Only you know that. I’m going to support you on your journey. I’ll call you on your sh*t. I’m direct and to the point. I’ll never tell you it’s all rainbows and glitter. Some of it is hard and there are things that you thought you’d buried that come bubbling to the surface, but that’s a small part of your journey. The answers you’re looking for are inside you. My goal is to show you how to find them so you have confidence in your path and you don’t have to look outside yourself to find them anymore. I help you take your power back.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Build your business the way you want to run it. If you dream of working 5 hours a day. Work 5 hours a day while you’re building (most of the time). It lets you know how to spend your time and helps frame your day.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Clarity is key. Know what you want to do (services, tasks, products, all of it), how you want to work, what an average day looks like and what your deal breakers are. Don’t do work that doesn’t align with those things. Never take a job you feel isn’t right for the money. You’ll regret it every time.
What is your favorite business tool or resource?
I love Edgar. You can create social media posts and organize them by category and Edgar recycles your content. It gives more people a chance to see your content.

What is a good article or book you have read recently?
I’m currently reading “I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was” by Barbara Sher.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) and EFT (tapping) to help make clearing blocks and limiting beliefs easier.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
Over the next few months I’m doing a Create the Change Challenge in my FB Group to help my members reach 1 goal before the end of the year. I’m also releasing my signature course Design Your Real Life Perfect. I’ve taken the process I use in my 1:1 work and created a digital course that’s accessible to more people. They get lifetime access, a private FB Group, powerful bonuses and a support system of women who are also creating their lives. It’s much easier to create change when you have support and don’t feel like you’re alone.
Design Your Real Life Perfect begins November 1 and I’m going through the program live with an elite group of 10 women. I’m taking applications to fill those spots.
