Amanda Romero Helps Empower Women Through God

Amanda Romero interview

Amanda Romero works to inspire other women by sharing her journey with God.

1. When did you get on Instagram?

I first joined Instagram in 2012. I was 14 and loved taking photos with my friends. Although you can’t see them on my account anymore, I often share them on stories for a good laugh.

2. How do you combine your faith with your Instagram account?

I would say I let my faith guide my account. I try to be as real and raw as I can, sharing my struggles, my victories through God and everything in between.

3. What is your favorite scripture?

Matthew 6:30-33 NIV “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?”

4. What strategies have helped you gain followers?

Consistency is number one. It’s so important to have a schedule, post 2-3 times a week, and remain active on stories throughout the day. With that being said, quality or quantity – if you can’t handle 2-3 good photos a week, then do one really amazing post and stay active on stories!

5. Which types of posts seem to get the most engagement for you?

Believe it or not, my most raw posts, either my IG vs. reality, or just me sharing my thoughts and being real. Those normally tend to get more engagement than my curated photos.

6. What is your best monetization advice to Instagram influencers?

Know your worth!!!

Even if you’re a micro influencer, know your rates, stand up for yourself, and don’t take jobs that don’t value you as a creator. There’s so much that goes into promoting a product: equipment, time, skill, etc. – don’t sell yourself short.

7. How has faith played a part in your growth?

I think just knowing who I’m doing this for motivates me to work harder which then leads to growth. I didn’t join Instagram to gain a following – I originally joined to share my journey. God is a huge part of that, so I inevitably started sharing about Him.
