1. When did you start blogging?
I started creative blogging and vlogging about 6 months ago.
2. Why did you start your blog?
As a full-time communications strategist and college instructor who writes to maximize organizations’ strengths, I wanted an outlet to creatively write and encourage others without any obligations attached. By blogging at @blogsinaminute, I get an opportunity to do what I love for myself that also benefits those who read.
3. What topics do you blog about?
I blog about all things motivational that can be read about and fully conceptualized within a minute’s time. These topics often include insights I’ve gained from scripture, parenting, childhood, running errands, or relationships.
4. How did you decide to blog about those topics?
I am so blessed to encourage people throughout the day with quick thoughts that come to mind, so I figured that blogging was a great way to get these thoughts out to impact even more people than those in which I connect with day to day.
5. What specific steps did you take to launch your blog?
I first bought a domain and built a simple website. From there, I looked through old social media posts and journals to pull topics that I had written on before. I expanded – and often trimmed down – some of those ideas to make them fit the overall mission of the blog.
6. How do you combine your faith with your blog?
Each of my blogs typically includes a scripture below the title so that others can gain inspiration from both a practical and biblical perspective.
