What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I’m motivated by a desire to help other women achieve their dreams.
A desire to live the values of integrity, collaboration and making a difference, which are values that are central to me as a person.
I had assisted many people during my time as a recruitment consultant and even though I gained satisfaction from seeing people enhance their careers, I wasn’t being completely fulfilled as a person.
I knew I could do more to help people and I also realized that this longing to do more, as well as the frustrations of working within the limitations of the recruitment industry, were causing me physical and emotional stress.
So, after a ‘soul journey’, I not only improved my own health and well-being, I also found clarity which led me to discover my calling, which is to help women develop personally and professionally and to achieve their dreams.
Tell us about your business
The business focuses on helping female entrepreneurs improve their self confidence and give them the courage to face challenges.
The mind coaching programs help women remove self-doubt, in order to face fear and insecurity, escape the cycle of perfectionism which a lot of women are stuck in and to overcome fear of things like judgement, failure and fear of the unknown. The work has also helped women who said they felt emotionally drained.
Once women have removed these obstacles to success, a lot of them said that they felt more confident to take the first steps to start a new business or project, which they’d wanted to do for a long time but were not able to do.
I find that many women are very interested in opening their own business because it allows more flexibility and family time or because their existing career was not fulfilling them. A lot of them also wanted to challenge themselves and I help give them the confidence to take on that challenge.
The business also challenges me. I coach not only from my expertise and certificates, but from my personal experience of having the courage to get out of my comfort zone and start my own business. Every day I learn, every day I remind myself of my vision.
Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone, but everyone should think like one because the changes that are occurring in the world, especially in the workplace, are forcing people to adapt, innovate and search for a new vision or new opportunities which are being created every day.

Where is your business based?
My business is based in Sydney, Australia, however I work online worldwide.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
The first step was to ask myself what I really wanted from my professional life, and even my personal life. Then, I thought a lot about the steps I needed to take in order to achieve that goal. I started to remove as many barriers as possible, barriers that would stop me achieving my goal.
Then, I spoke to friends and family and sought their feedback and input. I also consulted a business coach to help me create specific goals and to learn more specific techniques for setting up a business.
Once I had a very clear vision and more knowledge of the steps needed to achieve my goals, I created a website and material such as business cards and started to network with business and membership groups, using my skills as a recruitment consultant.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
I attract a lot of clients through word of mouth, I run free discovery sessions and I use social media extensively, especially platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Time management. As a business owner and a mother of a toddler, I need to juggle many balls at once, so I need to use my time efficiently. I need to offer my clients my complete attention and expertise every moment I’m with them, without distraction.
Time management is also important because I spend a lot of time learning about social media and the digital world, to improve my business and to find out ways that these tools can help my clients.
How did you overcome these challenges?
To manage my time, I learned to prioritize, this was vital. I also learned to delegate and to be realistic about being a solopreneur.
With social media, I learned through trial and error but also by not following the advice of “experts” and instead by following my intuition and by being active on the platforms that I enjoy using. This has helped me gain traction in this area.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
Resilience, vision and by not comparing myself with others.
I was born and raised in Brazil, a country with so many challenges. This upbringing gave me a strong mindset and resilience. It also taught me that no matter what life throws at you, you can choose how to look at life and I always try to see things positively.
Flexibility and a growth mindset is the key, because there many ways you can make your vision a reality and once you have a clear vision and overcome your limiting beliefs, it is just matter of time, dedication, patience and resilience.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
The difference is I work with my clients holistically to help them understand their energy and the emotional blocks that are holding them back. If you have only strategies to get you from A to B it will not work, because there are many unconscious hidden beliefs which can lead to sabotage.
I create a safe space where people can really talk about their deepest fears without any judgement.
My approach is to not use only logic, but use multiple tools to really create a transformation in my clients’ lives. Once I clear their negative emotions from the past, they can access all the inner power, intuition and creativity that they already possess.
My clients describe their interaction with me as a watershed moment. They feel lighter, confident and ready to achieve their goals.
Last but not least, I do not work with everybody, I only work with female entrepreneurs who are ready to look inside themselves, face the little voices in their head and act to fulfil their dreams.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
The advice I received was that failure is only feedback. If you are not afraid of failure you can create more innovations and create new things in your business and as a solopreneur we have much more flexibility to change direction and test new ways of doing things more quickly than big corporations.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Self-confidence, a strong mindset and creativity are the keys to take you further. As we are entering a new era, having an entrepreneurial mindset is gold. Don’t listen to people who don’t believe in you, keep your mind on your vision, remember that you are a long-life leaner and that technology puts the whole world at your fingertips.
What are your favourite business tools/resources and why?
I love to use Zoom to do my webinars or private sessions and Live Leap to share Facebook videos. I use the Word Swag app to create Instagram posts from my phone.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
A great book I recently read was “The Big Magic (Creative Living Beyond Fear)” by Elizabeth Gilbert. I also enjoyed reading the article Exceptionalities Should Be Celebrated by Richard Branson.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I am learning about social media and Futurism. What I want to learn is how to use the best marketing strategies.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
My goal is to re-position my brand and create a new look for my website and most importantly, I want to transform the lives of many entrepreneurs through confidence, leadership & emotional intelligence.
