Rachel Ngom is a Pinterest strategist who’s used Pinterest to generate over 20,000 free leads into her business. Her Pinterest account gets over 1,000,000 monthly viewers and increased her blog traffic by 34,000 per month.
She went from being on food stamps with negative $400 in her checking account to a multiple 6 figure online business. It’s now her mission to share her pinning secrets with other female entrepreneurs so they can monetize their passion and live out their purpose.
Rachel has lived in Kenya, met her husband in Senegal, got married in Morocco, and now lives in France.
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
My first one, desperation. I was cleaning equipment at our local gym for minimum wage with a new baby and was on food stamps with -$400 in our checking account.

I help entrepreneurs monetize their passion so they can live out their purpose, primarily through Pinterest and blogging. I help them create automation and smart systems so they can live their lives and make a bigger impact.

What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
Hired a coach and jumped in feet first.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Pinterest and blogging.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Mindset as we grow. Success has happened super quickly and making sure I’m the kind of leader I need to be to make the biggest impact possible.
How did you overcome these challenges?
Constantly listening to podcasts and YouTube videos.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
Personal development and remembering my purpose.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I am ME. I put myself out there—friends giffs, silly, and don’t try to be a polished speaker. Just myself.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Don’t get distracted by criticism, it means you’re growing. To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Fail forward, take messy action, add massive value and don’t try to be perfect.
