1. Choose your reader: Decide on a niche

According to the statistics, there are over 600 million blogs today, while the number of active bloggers writing at least one post a month has already hit the level of 32 million in the USA.

What this means for blogging students: if you start student blogging today, get prepared to face strong competition.

Fortunately, there is a way to stand out and attract readers to your blog. Choosing the appropriate niche and dive down into it. You need to choose a relatively narrow and specific topic and become an expert in it.

For example, if you like education blogs become an expert on how to write a blog entry for school posts. If you are starting a business blog, write about starting a business.

2. Get inspired from the best in your field

Find out what is the best blogging platform for you and get inspired by the best in your field.

For instance, if you like writing research papers and scientific blog posts, look for some of the best research paper examples in your sphere of interest. To do this, our piece of advice is to research paper writing service. It can meet your views on high-quality writing.

It has many benefits for you as a starting writer, research like this will reveal the best blog sites for writers in your field, whether it is a travel blog about Canada or school blog on expert tips on A-grade paper writing.

3. Write posts easy to read

No one likes to read. Everyone just wants information. If people could immediately load it into their brains, they would do so.

Therefore, your task as a writer is to help them start reading. One way to do it is to make your text easy to read.

Here are some tips:

  • Use short paragraphs. Large chunks of text repel the reader, and short paragraphs invite you to read.
  • Break long sentences. People usually read the text to themselves. Therefore, long sentences are difficult to follow.
  • Insert multimedia. Videos, pictures, GIFs, etc. They will help illustrate your statement without words.
  • Format the text. Bold, oblique, quotes, and lists will help break the text into readable pieces.
  • Read the text aloud. This will help you understand where the text “stumbles” or is just boring.

4. Write catchy headlines

On average, five times more people read your headline than your text.

Most people find content through search or social networks. Most likely, they make the decision to read based on the title.

This makes the headline the most important piece of content.

Here are a few tips for writing catchy headlines:

  • Find the most popular blogs on the Internet and see how they write headlines. Tim Ferris does not call himself an Internet marketer, but he knows exactly how to write headlines that appeal to readers.
  • Use patterns. Most headlines are usually written using proven formulas. Learn more about them and use your knowledge.
  • Use the CoSchedule Headline Analyzer. Not sure if your headline is good? Check it out with this free tool.

5. Create content you want to link to

It makes no sense to just teach you to create good content; you have probably read a multitude of guides on this topic. We will show you how to craft content worth mentioning and how to get a blogger to write about you.

There’s no need to order posting your blog on another blogger’s page as a service. It’s much easier to ask yourself the following questions after your text is finished:

  • Is the article unique?
  • Does the article have any ideas, opinions, or points of view that no one has spoken about?
  • Will people share and talk about the article?

If you can confidently answer “yes” to all questions, then excellent! If not, go back and refine the article. You can always add uniqueness through data, conduct a survey, and/or an experiment.

6. Write every day

To write well, you need practice.

Unfortunately, there are no extra tips on this, aside from focusing on developing the habit of writing every day. You do not have to write a blog. This could be a Facebook post, tweet, blog comment, email, or something else.

7. Accept that rejection is part of your path to success

Rejection stings, but it’s inevitable. Most, if not all, writers and journalists have been through countless rejection emails.

But why are you writing? If your answer is like ‘because I can’t help it’ or ‘because it feels right’, then you’ll know you’re on the right track and that you can and, definitely, should keep on trying.

Bottom Line

Blogging is hard work. You need to regularly publish content, promote articles, make connections, etc. The good news is that you are not alone.

Many bloggers had their ups and downs. And with their experience, they have paved the way for you. Now you only need to put these tips into practice and start working.
