Author, speaker and life coach, Odille Remmert specializes in subconscious reprogramming. Having dramatically changed her own experience – from a lifetime of financial struggle and stress, and being single for 6 years, to a life of peace and fun, traveling the world, happily married to the man of her dreams – Odille loves helping others achieve their own goals and dreams by changing the subconscious programs that are holding them back.
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I had spent my whole life, struggling financially. No matter what I did, I couldn’t seem to break the pattern. When I earned more money, my car would break down, I would get ill, someone wouldn’t pay me, a contract would fall through – whatever would bring me back to the status quo of struggle. I started to learn about the brain and how the subconscious works, and I understood that I had subconscious programming that was affecting my decisions, my ability to see clearly, and my perception of life and myself. However, I had no idea how to change it. I tried so many different techniques and modalities.
Finally, in October/November of 2015, I came across Robert G. Smith’s FasterEFT (very different to regular EFT). I watched hours of videos, and it fit in perfectly with what I already knew about the brain and body. I eventually tried the technique, and for the first time since I started searching, I actually experienced a shift.
Just over three months later, I had gone from being unable to pay my bills, to traveling to Oklahoma in America (from England where I lived), to attend a week of training in FasterEFT. I was able to not only pay my bills, but also pay for my trip. In 2016, I ended up traveling to America three times visiting Oklahoma, Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle. I also ended up going to Ireland, Spain and Greece all TWICE! On one of the trips I paid for my son and sister to come with me for the weekend! An incredible turn-around.
So, my motivation and inspiration for starting my business was the sheer joy and excitement of what this work did for me, and how fun it is to now be able to share it with others. I so wish that I had found this technique a long time ago – it would have saved me years of pain and struggle, BUT, I am so grateful to have found it now. For that reason, the fulfillment and joy I get from helping others like me, to achieve transformations in their own lives, is indescribable.
And it’s not only my finances that have been affected. This modality works for all areas of life – because absolutely everything is affected by the subconscious programming we carry. Having been single for about 6 years, I met the love of my life at a seminar in February, and am now ecstatically happily married to him! That was something I hadn’t expected as I wasn’t looking for a relationship; I was fully focused on building my business. So, it came as a wonderful, magical surprise. I couldn’t have imagined such a person existed. But he does. And I’m married to him!
Tell us about your business.
Fast-Track Subconscious Reprogramming is about reprogramming the subconscious references that cause the problems we experience in all areas of our lives. The subconscious is effectively our security system and is responsible for keeping us alive. However, because it has no ability to use logic or reason – keeping us alive means keeping us in alignment with the programs rather than what we want consciously.
I work with individuals and groups, guiding them in changing the subconscious references that are producing the results they’re experiencing in their lives – from financial and relationship issues, to stress and physical ailments. Change the programs, change your life. As we change the references in the subconscious, the results we experience in our lives change automatically – without the need for willpower or forcing anything. It’s like changing the playlist on an iPod. If you’re listening to country music, and you’d rather be listening to jazz, singing jazz over the sound of the country music doesn’t work very well. You have to go in and replace the country songs with jazz songs. The subconscious is the same.
Programs in the subconscious are like coordinates in an autopilot. If your subconscious is programmed for financial struggle, for example, whenever you veer “off-course” by getting into a position of having more money, it will self-correct by prompting your brain to trigger your organs to produce chemicals. These chemicals cause feelings, emotions, sensations, and impulses that affect your judgement, decisions, behaviors, desires, and everything else. This is what keeps you in alignment with the same problems and issues over a lifetime.

Where is your business based?
We’re physically situated in Peoria, Illinois, but currently work with clients mainly online. We also travel, do workshops, talks, and retreats (which we really love). We’ve held two workshops in Seattle, WA, and have been invited to Sweden to hold a retreat in May 2018.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
I started helping individuals I knew. I started working with people I knew, helping them with their problems, and then shared their testimonials with others. And, most importantly, I continued to use what I teach, myself!
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Two things: Facebook – I’m very active on Facebook; and MeetUp. While I was in Seattle in October 2016, I had the idea to hold a meetup in a coffee bar. I’d joined the website, MeetUp.com, and started a meetup on it called “Subconscious Reprogramming an Introduction to FasterEFT”. I figured I would go to a coffee bar on a Saturday afternoon, and if people turned up, I would share what I do with them. If no one turned up, I would have a cup of coffee!
Twelve people attended and it was fabulous! I explained how the subconscious is programmed, how it affects all areas of life, and how to change it. I didn’t mention one-to-one sessions; I simply gave them the technique to go away and use it themselves. However, afterwards, there was a line of five people asking me if I do one-to-one sessions. I ended up doing 12 sessions that week!
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
The first was actually charging for my services in the first place – and then, charging real prices. I had a really strong belief that I should give everything away! I remember giving away copies of one of the books I’d written because I thought people expected me to give it to them free of charge. Even when a sweet friend insisted on paying for it, I felt terribly guilty. I did a lot of sessions for free.
When I did start charging, I felt bad. I would “panic-quote” and once quoted someone £24 (about $30) for three one-hour sessions (for two people!). I was so frustrated with myself! But as I made sure that I was using this technique on myself as well as my clients, I cleared the subconscious programming, and was able to see the value in what I do. Not only was I able to increase my prices to reasonable, but as soon as I did that, I started to get more clients!
My second challenge is organization! Organizing and administration are not my strengths – and, as much as I would really love to be good at both, and I try really hard, I’ve found that it’s cheaper and easier to pay someone else to do what I’m not good at, while I focus on what I do well. Also, I think in words, and don’t have an eye for visuals, so not only could I not make my marketing materials look good – I didn’t even know that they didn’t! I’m very lucky that I married an amazing man (just in August, this year) who happens to have a wonderful eye for visuals and is talented and creative with graphics. So, we make a great team.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I learned that it’s not necessary to do everything myself. I had a strong belief in being a “one-woman-band”, but I discovered that it’s okay to work with others. In fact, it’s incredibly rewarding to be doing what I love and what I’m good at, and allowing others to do what they love and are good at. Once I understood that there are people who actually enjoy doing the parts of the business that I don’t enjoy and am not good at, it was liberating to start working in a team rather than as a lone ranger!
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I use what I teach: I use what I call “Zero Tolerance”. I’ve found that catching negative feelings and thoughts as early as possible, and changing them – “nipping them in the bud” – makes it so much easier to maintain motivation and to stay on track. The longer you stay in a negative state, the more of those stress chemicals you’re pumping into your blood stream – and the harder it becomes to pull yourself out of it. So, I’ve become very aware of how I’m feeling and what thoughts are floating through my head during my day. If I notice anything that doesn’t feel good, I address it immediately using FasterEFT tapping. I made a commitment to myself when I first started using this technique: “If I’m not feeling fabulous, I’m tapping!”
I also take time out first thing in the morning, and at intervals throughout the day, to “recenter” – you know, like a GPS. When we’re in the middle of daily tasks and details, it’s very easy to forget what we’re aiming for. While you’re looking at where you are, your eyes are not on where you’re going. It only takes a moment to recenter – to remember the end result you’re aiming for. I have an idea of what I’d like to achieve in my business – how many people I want to reach, and how I’d like them to feel after working with me, and the new products, events and services I want to create. And so, while I’m in the middle of putting together webinars or courses, I take time out to focus on the end result, and how exciting and wonderful it feels.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I don’t see anyone as competitors. I know that each person who is helping others transform their lives is appealing to certain people. Each individual is unique, and we respond to different aspects, perspectives and personalities. I know that there are people who find my approach resonates with them, and others who prefer a different personality and process.
My mission is not to convince anyone to do business with me; my mission is to reach those who really need me and will benefit from what I offer – and to make sure that they know about me, and how I can help them. It’s like offering someone who is cold, a coat. They don’t have to take it, but at least they’re empowered by knowing they can if they want to. They may prefer to get their coat from someone else, or they may decide they’re okay being cold. My goal is just to let them know it’s available, and that they have the power to choose to receive it, if they wish.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
A friend has been trying to convince me for months, to use Facebook Live. I had a huge resistance to it, until I used FasterEFT to address whatever subconscious programming was going on there! I did my first Facebook Live video a few weeks ago, and actually enjoyed it! It also received a great response. Since then, my husband and I have gone live on Facebook every Friday morning, and not only is it a lot of fun, but I’ve noticed that we’re reaching people that we don’t reach through other posts. There are people responding to the Facebook Live videos that I haven’t heard from before.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Having struggled to get a business going, and failed for many years, the best advice I can give you is to address your subconscious programming first. Whatever you’re doing consciously only works if you have no contradicting subconscious beliefs. I worked so hard and tried everything, in my previous efforts, but kept failing. It’s only once I changed the subconscious programs that had been limiting me, that I experienced success.
I now work far fewer hours, for more money than I did when I was trying much harder in the past. There’s a flow now to what I do – it’s easy and fun and rewarding, rather than stressful and a struggle. Changing the subconscious programming that is limiting you from achieving the success you want will change your perspective; your ability to see opportunities; your ability to come up with ideas and solutions; your creativity and productivity; the way you present and market yourself – and so much more.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
Facebook – It took me a while to really get consistent enough to make the most of it. I love being able to answer questions and help people through this platform. I have several Facebook support groups, and provide private Facebook Groups for those who are using my products, where they can ask for help and connect with like-minded people.
MeetUp.com – I love connecting with people in person, and holding regular meetups. It is a wonderful way to reach the people who need us. We run a weekly meetup group in the town where we live, every Tuesday evening. We meet in a coffee bar at the moment, but are looking for a bigger and quieter venue as the group is growing! We only started it in September, but we already have people who come every week, and several who bring friends. It’s free of charge and an opportunity for us to reach more people in person.
Zoom and Webinarjam – These are taking a little getting used to, but each of them enables us to connect with our audience in different ways.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
The Simple Daily Routine That Will Transform Your Life – a short article that suggests trying this simple, easy morning routine, that can completely transform your life – and business.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
A couple of things – we’re getting to grips with webinars, and that’s been quite a learning curve, but we’re excited with the results. The second is apps. We’re planning an app that will help our clients to get even more from our services, and we’re really excited about it! We have the ideas and plans, now we’re looking for someone who has the ability to actually create the app itself!
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
We’ve been very ambitious, and have scheduled our first three 6-week live online courses, starting one after the other. It’s a big project but we’re so excited, and loving the process. The finance course starts at 7:30pm on October 12th; the stress course starts at noon on October 25th, and the relationships course starts at 7:30pm on October 25th as well.
So, we will be running all three courses over a similar time period. It sounds like a lot, but when you love what you do, it’s really just more fun! We’re also planning to bring out an audio and a video program (precursors to the app), that will give our clients even more support in succeeding in their transformations. I’m almost beside myself with excitement about that one, and can’t wait to get started on it! We plan to get the test of that project out within the next week or two, and then the full version soon after that.
