Mylène Geoffroy is a brilliant business woman and a goal-oriented people person. She is equally good at juggling the numbers! She began her career as a makeup artist, then did a 180 and explored the financial world. She worked with one of the top insurance companies in Quebec for more than 5 years. During the past five years, she has been the president of a marketing agency. Thanks to her atypical background, Mylène is ready to conquer the fascinating cosmetics market with Asan Cosmetics!
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I have always been a freelancer, self-employed or owner of a company. I think it’s in my DNA. People say about me – that I am a typical “multipotencialite” (from a Ted Talk) and I cannot agree more.
Owning a business is one thing, but to actually build something and have an impact on other people’s lives… that’s what I’m in for.

Are you currently running any promos/contests/giveaways that you would like our readers to know about?
Where is your business based?
Quebec City, Quebec Canada. BraDful is entirely made in Quebec, Canada too.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
Kickstarter has been a great help! We reached our funding goal in just 26 days and finished the campaign with 124% funded.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
It all started with a Kickstarter campaign and after, word of mouth and social media began its magic.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Facebook doesn’t allow braDful to do any advertising on their platform, so in the beginning, it was very difficult to build a community. But soon enough, women started to follow us and ask questions about our wonderful product.
How did you overcome these challenges?
We decided to knock on the doors of bloggers and also literally knock on our potential customers doors! We needed to hear what women were saying around us and it gave us even more confidence about our product.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I read my emails! Really!
I receive emails from our customers to thank us for bringing braDful to the market. Some of them tell me about their personal stories for example, why they decided to try braDful, what happened and how they used to feel before braDful. They tell me about how they are feeling now, how their attitude has changed and how much more confident they feel. It makes me smile, and I go back to work!
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
We use patented technology to have a highly effective, water-free, odorless, super easy to use, safe and discrete solution for breasts enhancement. Our competitors’ products are creams or pills.
Pills are so dangerous and some of the creams are too. Most of the time, they contain hormones or hormone production boosters – which is far from safe! The most “trustable” competitor claims that its cream will increase the volume of your breasts by up to 8.4% in 56 days. braDful results are up to 36% in 28 days (of course, it’s clinically proven)!

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Run! And never stop running! Hehe or any other sports 😛
It actually helps me to stay focused. I know how hard it is to add this in our busy schedules, but it makes a huge difference in productivity and in your mood!

Facebook is great for customer services. It helps us stay very close to our customers.
