1. How do you get traffic to your blog?
I started my blog along with my weekly newsletter “Threshold: Entering into a holy place.” Sending out weekly emails with links to recent blog posts has been foundational for the growth of my blog.
My social media presence on Pinterest and Instagram helps too!
2. What tools have attributed to your growth?
Honestly, I think the main thing that has helped my blog grow has been my audience. I started with a small group of family and friends reading my emails and I’ve learned to never underestimate word of mouth.
3. What has been challenging about blogging?
Comparison! There are so many incredible blogs out there, it’s hard to narrow down your niche and stop comparing yourself to others.
Success looks different for everyone.
4. What specific steps did you take to overcome those challenges?
I think it’s critical to recognize that God is the one who called me to blog, and my blog will look different from any other blog just because He has a unique calling for all of us.
We don’t have to try to be like any other blogger, we just have to be who God calls us to be.
5. How has faith played a part in your growth?
If I didn’t believe that God called me to blog or believe that He was going to use my blog for His glory, then I’d definitely quit. Having faith is what keeps me from quitting and helps me to show up for my readers.
6. What is your favorite scripture?
“The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.” Thessalonians 5:24
