With almost 15 years of sales, client retention and client relations experience under her belt, Meredith Watson decided to put her skills to practice as an entrepreneur. Read our interview with the lovely Meredith below…


What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?

I have been in the professional realms of education, law, and business but when I realized I was pregnant with my daughter I knew I wanted to be at home with her. I did not want to leave her in the care of anyone else while I taught and was away from her. I did not want to miss a moment.

Tell us about your business.

I support my clients by helping them create residual and passive income! I do this by helping them achieve individual growth through personal development strategies to grow their business as well as strategies I offer through my MAC Passive Income Business Builder & Sales Funnel Training Vault! I help them overcome limiting beliefs, self-doubt, set goals (and achieve them) and get over mental blocks so they can market the business of their dreams and create amazing revenue – some of it passively while they sleep! I offer coaching in both a-la-carte and package deals. I offer a Business-In-A-Box, if clients do not have a product, to help them create income initially until we can zero in on what they can create and offer. Where is your business based?

East Coast, but we work with clients all over the world!

What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?

I completed a massive market research project to see who my ideal audience would be. I then placed ads to obtain traffic and build my list. While my list was building, I created and polished my package and decided how I wanted to offer in the packages and what I wanted the package to include.

What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?

Placing ads to attract my ideal audience then courting them, and getting to know them, being transparent and authentic with them. Reaching out to like-minded colleagues to obtain their view points, tips and tricks then implementing the sage advice in a way that brought my flare to what I was attempting to achieve!


What have been your biggest challenges so far?

Trying to maintain a work/life balance. I need ME time every day. I am very family oriented so I want to be with them also. I want to maintain a successful business and offer my clients ultimate availability to me. I struggle to balance all those responsibilities so that all are attended to as they need to be.

How did you overcome these challenges?

MY PLANNER! I would faint without my calendar, everything is on my calendar. I schedule time for my clients, business responsibilities, time for my family (especially my Mom and five-year-old daughter, whom I homeschool), and I schedule time for myself.  I try to give each the attention it needs and that varies.

How do you keep motivated through difficult times?

I have a devout faith without which I would fail. I lean on my Mom, she is my rock and best friend. I look into my daughter’s eyes and see why I fight each day.  I also reread my clients’ testimonials to know that I am helping my clients! I have a dream board I visit multiple times daily to remind myself of goals I have set!

How did you distinguish yourself from your competitors?

I remind myself that anyone can teach passive income strategies, automation, and how to create a sales funnel, but my hook is my product is AFFORDABLE for the client who does not have the funds to hire a high priced coach but needs HIGH END help. I add a personal growth and development component so my clients can grow as a person and as an entrepreneur! In addition to WHAT a funnel and passive income is, I show clients how to create/maintain a funnel to ensure a consistent flow of passive income, I teach how each step works with the next, I give a step-by-step strategy (Ideas for Creating Passive Income Streams/Action Plan/To Do Checklist/Resources), and I give my clients ALL this in bite sized pieces so both a novice and a seasoned business owner can learn! It is a mixture so that depending on the way my clients learn, they have the option to learn in that way! I cut the red tape for newbie and seasoned business owners by giving them EVERYTHING they need (in ONE VAULT) to start and grow their business while they learn to earn (big and fast) as well as grow as an entrepreneur and a person! I feel very competent in this space. I have been in sales, client retention and client relations for close to 15 years.


What is the best advice you have received recently?

Be me, authentic and transparent. It will reach my ideal audience more expediently, and to own myself, quirks and all. Since I have done that I can see a true, positive difference in my business and its growth!

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?

Work in your passion and zone of genius. Do not try to copy anyone. Your ideal clients will find you, but you have to be you, to attract them.

What is your favorite business tool or resource?

My sales funnel. It allows me to nurture and court my clients, even when I am away from my laptop. I have systems and processes in place and it helps me enjoy the time freedom I created my online business to enjoy!

I am learning about being authentic to attract my tribe (ideal clients) you can never know enough in this area!

What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?

I want to fully book my newest coaching package and a-la-carte laser coaching package.  I am running more ads, becoming more visible and transparent with those I would like to work with and join venture with, to increase my reach!
