Dr. Mahdi Mason is a land healer, author and environmental consultant. Her background in corporate environmental management and energetic healing has afforded her in-depth understanding of practical and metaphysical approaches to helping the environment and people.
Mahdi just released her second book “Earth Healing: Healing the Earth to heal ourselves” and is also the author of the influential book “The Power of You: How to Positively Influence People, Places and the World” which was released in 2016.
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I always wanted to make a difference in the world and that is difficult to do when you are working for a corporation that is only interested in making money. I never liked the rigidness of working 9-5 jobs. I found I could easily have my work finished well before the finishing time each day, but would have to stay there, bored, until the clock said I could go home. In addition, office jobs never gave me the opportunity to be creative, which is something that’s important to me. Much of the work I do these days is quite alternative, so it never would have fit in with corporate culture.
Tell us about your business.
I offer four main services and products in my business;
- Property healer
- Book consultant
- Environmental consultant
- Event speaker
I spend most of my time conducting property healings for clients who feel that something ‘isn’t right’ on their land, in their houses or at their offices. During my sessions, I clear the spaces of negative energy (from things like underground ley lines, underground water, geopathic stress, psychic energy, EMF and spirits). I work remotely based on maps and photos of the properties, which means I can have clients from all over the world.
I have just released my latest book on the topic of Earth Healing which is about understanding how much nature does for our minds, bodies and spirits, how to connect with nature and how to make a difference. It’s available worldwide through online retailers such as Amazon and you can check it out here.
Are you currently running any promos/contests/giveaways that you would like our readers to know about?
I’m giving away a free copy of my book to one special LadyBossBlogger reader. All you need to do is email me at mahdi@drmahdimason.com and let me know why you think nature is worth protecting!

Where is your business based?
I live in Brisbane, Australia and most of my clients are from also from here. However, I do have a few overseas clients and both of my books are available worldwide.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
- Worked out what I wanted my business to achieve and what my key company values were.
- Decided exactly what products and services I would offer and who would benefit from them.
- Worked with designers to create my branding and website.
- Started marketing to get the word out there about what I offered.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Word of mouth. Offering good services and products that people benefit from, makes people want to tell other people! I have always made sure to look after my clients and they appreciate that. When people refer you to people they know, they do much of the marketing work for you and it’s completely genuine. People only recommend you if they sincerely like your work.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
The ebbs and flows of business. Sometimes a ton of work comes in at once. At other times, crickets. It’s easy to get down and stop believing in yourself during those quiet periods. Also with the ebbs comes the restricted income. That can prevent you from taking your business where you want to, when you want to. For an impatient person like me, that can be very testing.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I’ve learnt to let it go and trust that work will come in during those slow times. If you stress too much when you don’t have much work, you end up getting desperate and restricting the flow of work coming in.
Make the most of the good times and enjoy having a rest and some time to yourself in the down times. Think of the downtimes as your chance to energize so that you are ready to take on all the work when it starts flowing in again.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I recognize the importance of keeping healthy so that I am in the best mindset to take on challenges. I exercise and meditate every day. That being said, I still fall in a heap sometimes, and when I do, I allow myself to take a break from work and nurture myself. It’s unrealistic to think that business is going to be great all the time. Time spent in nature, holidays by myself and spending time with my friends, family and pets also keep me uplifted and in good spirits.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
The topic of Earth Healing (which is what my book is about) and land healing (which I offer as a service for clients) are both pretty unique, so I don’t have to do much differentiating from competitors. People know when their property needs a healing so they come and find me when they need to. In regards to the way I write, speak and business, I’m simply myself. That is unique enough. People tend to love my raw honesty so I don’t have to try and be anyone other than me.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Stop wishing your life away. Life is now. Enjoy what you can of it and stop waiting for things to change. You could be dead tomorrow!
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Don’t give up! Every setback is helping you on your path to finding success. Every setback gives you wisdom on how to do things better next time.
Being an entrepreneur requires staying power. If you’re going to give up at the first sign of trouble, don’t bother starting your business at all. Every single entrepreneur has failures. You need to stick out the tough times and bounce back if you want to succeed.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
I’m pretty lazy when it comes to researching things so I utilize my network of other entrepreneurs who know a lot more about most entrepreneurial things than me. In short, I skip the hard yards by asking other people what was successful for them. It works for me.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
“The Sacred Balance” by David Suzuki. It was written in the mid-90s but it’s still so relevant. It’s all about how we perceive and treat the environment.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I’m learning more about how to execute an effective book launch. I’ve also come to the realization that you need to have a short and long-term marketing plan when it comes to selling a product. You can’t just stop at the launch (which is what I did with my first book).
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
My focus for the next few months is about spreading awareness of my latest book and my property healing work. I am speaking at numerous events on the topic of Earth Healing and will be approaching podcasters with similar interests to be interviewed on their shows.
