LaToya Early discovered her gift and passion was to empower people to reach their full potential and to help them develop a purpose driven life then turn their purpose into profit. So she created a business around her vision called Chase Great Enterprises, LLC, hand picked an all-star coaching team, and created a solid support system. Read our interview with the lovely LaToya below…
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
When I discovered my purpose I knew I had discovered an unfamiliar gift that often goes unnoticed. After much research and development I noticed I wasn’t the only person with the gift to help others be great. Therefore, I was determined to find a way to help other like-minded innovators create a lane in purpose discovery and leadership development. I was determined to create a community that offers comfort, security and accountability while pursuing limitless possibilities in purpose.
Tell us about your business.

Where is your business based?
We are based in a small city outside of Detroit, MI called Eastpointe, MI.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
The first few steps I took were…
- I gathered my thoughts and wrote them in my notebook. I am a firm believer in Writing the Vision and to ensure I was articulating the vision at my greatest potential (at that time) I wrote all of my ideas to learn how and where to start.
- I filed my LLC paperwork; I wanted the world to take me seriously, so I had to be serious.
- Amongst other things the most important thing I did was seek mentorship. I knew I didn’t have all the answers, even when I leaped, I was still unsure, but I needed someone to help me along the journey. Plus, I believe every good leader needs a leader.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Word of mouth! I try hard to create an experience, my mission is to help you develop your vision and I try hard to create coaching experiences that provides support, solutions and confidence.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Honestly, getting people to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them!
How did you overcome these challenges?
I created a community where we all support one another. Having a coach can sometimes feel like you only feel your best when you meeting with your coach. So I decided to create a community where the support is limitless. You are never traveling the road of vision development alone; you have a group of innovators who can help push you along the way – Iron Sharpens Iron.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I stay in my prayer closest! I know how much I need God to fulfill His purpose for me so when I’m feeling defeated I look unto His word for motivation. I have an amazing husband that really supports me and keeps me going. He knows when I’m having a hard day and he finds the right words or small gestures to motivate me. Lastly, my team, their support keeps my wheels rolling, being amongst a supportive community helps eliminate some of those bad times.
How did you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I stay in my lane and trust the ideas God has given me. I believe there is no such thing as competition when you’re in purpose. No one else can be you, yes, they can sell what you sell, but NO ONE can sell it like you!
What is the best advice you have received recently?
To grocery shop on Wednesdays because they stock the shelves on Tuesday evenings. LOL no, seriously, the best advice I’ve received recently was to take time for myself and family. Set my shut off time from work and stick to it, I can’t pour if I’m over worked and empty!
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Stop trying to fit inside the box, there is no box. Build a business doing what you love; chase purpose and profit will come! Stand boldly, the hits may seem unbearable, but they are designed to make you stronger!
What is your favorite business tool or resource?
My favorite business tool is probably Canva. It’s a design app I use when I want to create a quick social media graphic.

What is a good article or book you have read recently?
I just completed “Purpose-Driven Life” by Rick Warren.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I am learning more about marketing, I want to take the coaching community nationwide. So I need help in positioning our company for greater exposure.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
Our goal is position the coaching community beyond our demographics. We have a highly effective coaches training and we want to offer this opportunity to innovators who are looking to define their own lane in purpose discovery and leadership development. We are connecting with candidates through social media platforms, networking events and our current email database. Another goal is to offer more resources to our coaches to ensure they are developing successfully. We are creating more virtual trainings and recordings that will provide additional training while developing their platform.
