1. Too focused on social media numbers
Getting lots of people to like and share your content on social media sounds like a great strategy. After all, that’s what you want. The more reach you have, the better.
Unfortunately, though, numbers aren’t everything. You can engage with a lot of people on social media and not make the progress you want to make.
The trick here is to make social media engagement your number one priority. Try to interact more with the community so you can get the conversation going. Don’t focus so much on simply getting more viewers. These people aren’t necessarily going to drive the value of your blog.
2. Need more original information
As a hair care blogger, you also need to learn how to write and research to write interesting content. Finding out information and sharing it with your audience in a way they understand is critical.
Remember, readers want to discover things on your site they simply can’t find elsewhere. If you’re just regurgitating someone else’s ideas, it won’t offer them as much value. It’ll still sort of work, but you won’t have the ground-breaking success you’re looking for.
Figuring out how to research can take some time, particularly if you’re not used to it. Take time to find out as much information as you can and build a credible platform that your readers trust. Always back up your work with plenty of sources and build relationships with professional stylists who can provide their expert advice and opinion through you. 3. Not prioritizing your email list
Next, make sure that you focus on your email list. That’s because this allows you to bypass Google’s algorithms and communicate with your audience directly.
Start building your email list right from the start. Get readers to give you their email addresses in exchange for explainer videos, subscriber content, and special personal services from you. Then use emails to drive more engagement with your audience, reminding them that you’re still putting out content to help them better take care of their hair. You could recommend shampoo for damaged hair, various conditioners, or even homemade DIY hair care treatments.
Most people won’t just start scrolling through your blog because they’re interested. That’s not how the internet works. What they want is information that helps them. They want to know how to have the most beautiful hair, and your information can provide that.
4. Copycat blogs
Ensuring that no one copies you should be another priority. You don’t want to build a spectacular site, just for someone else to come along, copy your ideas, and take all the credit. That’s not fair.

6. Not playing toward your strengths
