Felecia Richard, Founder of Magnificent$ Financial Services, a credit repair and wealth building company. After living the majority of her life with reckless spending habits, Felecia decided that freedom was at her fingertips if she took control from the inside out. Armed with 25+ years of financial skillset, she launched MFS to educate consumers on the importance of being financial compliant in their own lives.
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
Being a very hard worker, but not successful in the workplace. I had a seed on the inside that was screaming to burst forth and bloom. I had failed so much in the workplace, that I was publicly ashamed of starting my own business for fear of criticism. Fear, however, became the petri dish that allowed Victory to snatch me from Disaster.
Tell us about your business.
Magnificent$ Financial Services is a Credit Repair and Wealth Building Company that assists clients in navigating their path to financial freedom while living a comfortable life without extreme sacrifice.
Are you currently running any promos/contests/giveaways that you would like our readers to know about?
My usual introductory audit fee is $199.00 per person ($398.00 for couples) but if you sign up before 12/31/2017, I am offering a $99.00 sign-up fee for individuals ($249.00 for couples).
Where is your business based?
I’m located in Houston, Texas.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
Being that I would’ve rather stayed safe in my shell, rather than take a risk and possibly succeed, I stopped talking about what I could do and actually put all my fears on the table and started educating others on financial principals that could impact their lives for the better.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Advising my clients on the principal that no one is born to live with an impoverished state of mind, and that with a change of perspective, I can show them how to rid themselves of debt, repair their credit and save money simultaneously.
What have been your biggest challenges so far? Â
To get my clients to believe in themselves, and me, as we journey to financial freedom.
How did you overcome these challenges?
Tired of living with an impoverished mindset, I began educating myself on the origin of money, the origin of debt and the wisdom between wants and needs.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I keep myself abreast of real-time information and I am continuously marketing, even if it’s free information that I’m sharing. Sometimes networking is ministry.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
It’s a competitive industry, and we all know something that the other one does not. I maximize my presence is my general locale. I just give the best that I have, and I offer cash referral fees for my clients.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Those who judge don’t matter, and those who matter don’t judge. To be true to myself even if no one else will be.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
The race is not given to the swift nor the strong, but he who endures until the end. Persevere even when it seems darkest.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
FCRA, the internet and my competitors. I don’t have all the answers, and believe it or not, there are entrepreneurs who like to share the wealth. No pun intended.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
“The Richest Man in Babylon”, by George Samueul Glason.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
How as consumers we not become victims of extreme financial oppression, and that we constantly educate ourselves that a delay is not a deny. Learn to appreciate No’s and Denials. My business is two-fold. I can help you with an 800 credit score, but if you have poor spending habits, it’s all for naught; however, I can show you how to live debt-free with a zero based budget.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
To increase my business base, and to offer training classes on finance codes and laws and to educate on how living with a budget is not a negative aspect of becoming financially free, and how it’s all applicable to everyday living.
