Ellie Frost Coaches Purpose Driven Leaders To Reach Their Full Potential
Ellie Frost is a serial entrepreneur and highly acclaimed strategist and coach. Before setting up her own businesses in 2011, Ellie was a director at the sought-after media personality and brand Jamie Oliver in the UK (that is estimated to be worth $500 million). This experience took Ellie into global, brand-led businesses spanning retail, publishing, media, leisure, and hospitality.
Ellie runs an LA-based personal branding agency (Ellie Frost & Associates) supporting leaders in growing brand-led businesses; she provides coaching, education, and strategy solutions to global entrepreneurs and leaders through her online education business.
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
Wanting to build things on my own terms, following my sense of purpose and passion, having a location-free lifestyle, and being unlimited in my earnings and potential.
Tell us about your business.
I have an online education business, which provides coaching and strategy solutions to entrepreneurs and leaders all over the world. I also have a personal branding and business development agency in Los Angeles where I work with successful leaders, visionaries, and artists to expand their brand-led businesses through raising their profile, brand positioning, and commercial ventures.
Are you currently running any promos/contests/giveaways that you would like our readers to know about?
I give away a lot of free content to my subscribers, such as mini-online courses, video training, and strategy tools. You can subscribe on my website.
I have a law degree. I am a certified mentor and have qualifications in energetic healing techniques.
Where is your business based?
Los Angeles and globally online. I have clients from all over the world, as I predominately work online in both businesses via video calls and coaching groups.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
Tuning into my highest vision, unique qualities, and sense of purpose, and then some research around best practices and what’s already available.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Social media and referrals. My first business I built in 2011 was a referral-only business for some of the world’s largest corporate brands, then I was inspired to support more individuals as that had been my original starting point, and my passion is helping more entrepreneurs and visionaries.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
How to scale up fast enough to build and get the right team in place.
How did you overcome these challenges?
By managing that tipping point of when and how to scale. By also being willing to change course at any moment and being extremely responsive to feedback and learning as I go.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I am extremely purpose driven, because I have a very strong reason why I want to impact people in the way I do. That purpose hinges around people being able to monetise their purpose, live on their own terms, and support leaders doing positive things in the world to make positive change. So that drives me through any challenges.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
When you are the brand, you are already distinguished, that’s why personal branding is so important, as well as knowing what your unique talents, gifts, and qualities are. So I just focus on bringing all of myself to the table and attracting people who like my style and approach. And of course I am really good at my job, so I get a ton of referrals, which is the best promotion ever.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
I think the best advice is always to trust yourself, trust your desires, and believe you get to have everything you want.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
What you want to do, be and have is possible and there for you. Don’t dampen down your message or what you believe in to try and fit in; play to who you are.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
I like the Mindvalley courses and events. Tony Robbins. Abraham Hicks.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
Big Magic – Elizabeth Gilbert
Do The Work – Steven Pressfield
Think & Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill
The Dynamic Laws Of Prosperity – Catherine Ponder
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
Finding the right team as I grow.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
I’ve held back on promoting my own personal brand as I wanted to get the right team in place (I only moved to LA from London 6 months ago). That’s about to change in a big way as I am now engaging with PR and media.
