1. What steps did you take to make your Instagram account more appealing?
I decided to use my creative ability to explore and be myself on social media. The more I began discover and invest in becoming myself, the more I began to be more creative, innovative, and free to explore with what I like to call my mood board.
2. Which types of posts seem to get the most engagement for you?
The posts I receive most engagement in are ones that have more personality related/driven content. For instance, pictures that I am smiling more in or videos that I am expressing my fun personality in.
3. What has been the most effective way to increase engagement?
The most effective way has been through genuine engagement and through my expression of love and the honesty I present in some of my captions and stories. I believe people value my honesty and how open I am in regards to my world view and the struggles of everyday life.
4. What has been your biggest challenge on Instagram?
Being able to handle it’s engagement demands and also having the space and time for solitude, rest, restoration, and revival.
5. What specific steps did you take to overcome those challenges?
Understanding that I am in the world but not of it, so I must prioritize my relationship with God and peace. Because the world is always demanding for my attention. I also understand the importance of being unapologetic about protecting your peace.
6. What is the best advice you have personally received as an influencer?
Social media isn’t the real world. I also learned the importance of being true to your value and not letting brands or companies take advantage of the value you have to offer.
7. What Instagram tool do you recommend and why?
I highly recommend Lightroom as it helps you maintain the quality of your pictures and allows you the ability to adjust your pictures from a basic picture to a high quality content picture.
