Chelsea Sutton Helps Mothers Put A New Spin On Being A Christian Mom

Chelsea Sutton is a 30-something single mother who uses her blog to connect with other single moms.

She shares life advice, fashion, tips for raising children, and her faith across her social media platforms.

1. When did you start blogging?

I started my blog, ChristianCurvyCool, on my birthday, November 14, 2019.

2. Why did you start blogging?

It was scary, but it was necessary because I wanted to reach mothers (single/divorced) who are Christians and show a new spin on being a Christian mom.

We can be relatable, fashionable, loving, and FUN!!

3. How do you combine your faith with your blog?

So, for me, my faith is my daily walk and my blog is the visual representation of that on the web. I used my authenticity as a Christian mom, friend, sister, and fashionista, and I show that in my blog posts.

Sometimes I say that things that most Christians won’t say, but it’s truth and that truth can break down the lies that we tell ourselves in our heads.

Christ called us to be ambassadors for Him but, He still wants us to do it in a way that still shows our personality.

4. What tools have attributed to your growth?

Well, I’m still growing, but I think that the realness that I show in my posts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest have started translating in a way that shows who I am as a person.

Not being so picture-perfect has helped my audience truly believe that who I am as a Christian is not a fake or unrelatable entity but an actual person who loves hard.

Also, collaborations with other bloggers and social media socialites help!

5. How have you monetized your blog?

I haven’t gotten to the point where my posts are actually monetized except for a few Google ads.

However, there are some things coming up where I’m going to start providing services and products soon.

6. What is your favorite scripture?

I think this is my favorite question!

I love the Bible so much, but if I had to choose it would be:

Phillippians 4:6-9 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me-everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

7. List your social media links.
