Carla Gadyt is a heart-centered entrepreneur, blogger, and mom to a lovely 6-year-old little girl. She studied Sociology and Marketing & Communications and has been always fascinated by how social media has the ability to reach people everywhere and anytime. Now she teaches people how to use Pinterest the right way to drive massive traffic to their blogs and businesses.
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and always knew I wanted to have my own business and live life on my own terms. So I basically joined my passion for social media marketing with my desire to be of service to others and then started my own business.
Tell us about your business.
After many years of working in social media marketing, I have specialized in Pinterest marketing and business.
I help business owners and pro bloggers across the world learn how to properly use Pinterest for traffic sales growth.
Are you currently running any promos/contests/giveaways that you would like our readers to know about?
I have a Free 8 Day Pinterest E-Course for Bloggers, that anyone can join at any time: www.carlagadyt.com/pinterest-8-day-e-course-bloggers.

Where is your business based?
Anywhere really, as long as I have my laptop and a wifi connection, which goes really well with my love of traveling!
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
The first steps (and because I believe in the Law of Attraction) were to get into alignment with myself: my values, my goals, my truth.
Decide how I want to work, what I want to do, who are my soulmate clients, etc.
And then everything I did (as in setting up my website, my offers, social media presence, etc), came from that aligned place.
I believe that alignment always comes before action.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
As a social media marketing expert, it has definitely been social media.
I would like to say however that I put the emphasis on “social” and not on media.
Techniques and tactics are fine, but to use social media channels properly to get awareness and clients, you need to show yourself fully online and be able to interact and engage with people.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
My biggest challenges very often are my own internal blocks and limiting beliefs that I have been working on.
I do have a successful business but I always want to up-level and raise the bar, so I like to let go of internal stuff that limits me and transmute it into positive energy.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I have met wonderful people along my journey: money mentors, business mentors, and coaches. They have helped me tremendously in being aware of my blocks and in releasing them.
I believe that my focus on living from my truth and in releasing everything that is not really me has made a big difference, not just in my business but in my life in general.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I don’t really have difficult times now, because I’m in a good and steady place in my energy. But oh boy if I did have them in the past! My motivation was always to focus on my inner truth.
Not believing that those difficult times are the “reality” and knowing that I am creating something much bigger than that. It’s not easy to do that in the beginning, but with practice, you train your mind to stay in that space.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I don’t really believe there’s such a thing as competitors or competition. Sure, there are lots of other people that do something similar to what you do, but there’s only one you.
You have your own unique energy, you work on your own unique way and there are clients that resonate with you because they are a true match, and only want to work with you. We live in an abundant world!
What is the best advice you have received recently?
The best advice I have received recently was to slow down and not do a lot at the same time.
Focus on what is working and giving it time to grow, before I jump into something else.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Believe in yourself, your vision is real, and listen to your inner guidance.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
My favorite tools/resources are from other business coaches that are killing it and do resonate with me.
I use it as inspiration and motivation to keep going.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
The last book I read was “You are a badass making money” from Jen Sincero, and I recommend it to anyone wanting to change their mindset into a place of abundance.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I am learning how to take it to the next level: of work, of income, of strategy, etc.
It’s more of a mindset work first, then acting on what feels right and aligned.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
I want to achieve the next level of income and invest more money in my business as in outsourcing certain things.
