What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I was always curious, creativity and a 9-5 just wasn’t cutting it for me personally. I wanted to do something great with all the creative ideas that were coming to my mind and I wanted to turn them into realities.
Tell us about your business.
Well one of my businesses is a fragrance line called L’arome Factory, Inc which is French for “The Aroma Factory”, which took me one year to research and produce.
I was inspired to create the line because as a woman with sensitive skin I started noticing it was difficult for me to find a great fragrance that was skin friendly, so I decided to produce a fragrance that was skin sensitive and attractive.
I also have a motivational speaking business because I like to help bring people to their full creative ability. I just have a passion for it.
Are you currently running any promos/contests/giveaways that you would like our readers to know about?
My fragrances are currently 20% off on my website www.LaromeFactory.com.

Where is your business based?
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
Major research, reading, studying/testing my competition products to learn what I needed to do different, creating a business plan, and putting together a small team to help me.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Social media and networking at in person events.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Developing a well-known brand in the difficult business of fragrance.
How did you overcome these challenges?
Being consistent and not letting intimidation play a part in my perspective of my business.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
My Faith in Jesus. I pray, read my bible and just let the Lord lead me and handle the things that are beyond my control. In return I have peace and everything usually works out. Sometimes better than what I was hoping for.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
My fragrances smell feminine and beautiful and can be worn mostly on every skin type. I have done a test study on women with difficult skin sensitivities. They tried major household name fragrances vs my fragrance line.
The household name fragrances smelled great but they left an allergic reaction However my brand didn’t leave an allergic reaction and the women in the test loved the smell as well.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Stay Humble! No matter what opportunity is presented to me in life remain humble! Humility is wealth.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Become a genius in what you do or in the product you sale. Never stop reading, researching, and adding to your business and your brain. People are drawn to intelligence.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
I love utilizing social media sites like LinkedIn where you can connect with so many other ambitious entrepreneurs.
I also love books on business because networking and knowledge will always be the foundation for a successful business.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
“Start with WHY” by Simon Sinek.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I am now a motivational speaker as “Britney The Creative Coach”. I am helping individuals tap into the deepest parts of their creativity to produce the business they want to see.
So I am currently reading books on Neuroscience to learn about how creativity and the brain works.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
I would like to up my sales with my fragrance line, so I am creating campaigns to achieve that goal. As far as my motivational speaking business goes, I am in the phase of networking right now and I am about to publish my book “Thinking in High Definition” which will hopefully be an impact.
