What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve always had a love for business, but was not quite sure how I would get to CEO status. So I took a hobby and turned it into a business. I knew I was destined to be a CEO, so I coined myself the ‘CEOLADY’!

What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
I hired a business coach and it was the best investment ever. She helped me strategize and to think bigger.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Social media and networking.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
My biggest challenge has been balancing my time – time management.
How did you overcome these challenges?
I learned how to delegate and not be super woman, just CeoLady!

My faith keeps me motivated through difficult times.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I stay true to who I am and my brand; I am not afraid to take risks.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Build slow and stay consistent.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Don’t wait for opportunities – create them. Don’t be afraid to get a mentor.
What are your favorite business tools/resources and why?
My favorite tool and resource is Google Drive because it is easier for me to share ideas and documents with my team. The BB Team Rocks!

I love everything in the Harvard Business Review.
What are you currently learning about for your business or looking for help with?
I am learning everyday that I have to stay up with the trends and continue to stay relevant.
What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
In the next few months I will be a Total Fashion and LifeStyle Brand creating new products! I am collaborating with some brick and mortar stores to get my products on shelves.
