Starting a brand, website, or even just adding some fun visuals for your article can be stressful. I never took any graphic designs classes in high school or college. The idea of creating art digitally can be intimidating! Luckily, the internet is flush with help. Read on for a list of tools for creating graphic designs!
1. Canva
First on the list, we have a site I use regularly. Canva is a graphic design platform used to create graphics for social media, presentations, or other visual content.
It has a multitude of templates to start from. Uploading your own images is extremely easy. The platform is free to use, with added paid subscriptions like Canva Pro and Canva Enterprise.
Also, Canva is used regularly for the graphics on this blog. The website is easy to use while also keeping your own unique flair. Please check it out today!
2. Weebly
Next on our list is Weebly. While Weebly is more specifically a website builder, it has awesome tools you can use to create graphic designs on your website!
It does contain a free website builder. Weebly is incredibly easy to get your blog or brand started, all while adding adorable visuals.
It also contains paid subscriptions that allow for more advanced design. Weebly is perfect for someone looking to build their image from the bottom up.
3. Design Programs
Aside from websites, you can use to create graphic designs, there is a multitude of design programs you can use!
While there are more complex options such as Adobe Illustration, Photoshop, Comic Studio, and more, you can even use something as simple as the Microsoft Paint program!
All these sites strive for similar goals but are slightly different from each other. Don’t be afraid to take advantage of the free trials, and do your own research. Each artist has their own preference. Go out and find yours!
4. Graphic Drawing Tablet
Next up is a physical tool to use! For those more artistically talented, there is a multitude of Graphic Drawing Tablets.
While some can be fairly pricey, there are more affordable options on Amazon or Best Buy! A specific one is HUION H420 USB Graphics Drawing Tablet Board. You move your pen across the board, and it appears on whatever program you are using.
Priced at 29.99, the tablet is compatible with Corel Painter, CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, Comic Studio, SAI, Paint tool sai, Infinite Stratos, 3D MAX, Autodesk MAYA, Pixologic ZBrush, and other major graphics applications.
Don’t be afraid to build your designs from scratch!
5. Social Media/ Outsourcing
Last but not least, there are also options for those out there that are artistically challenged. While someone may have an awesome idea for a logo or brand, they may not have the natural ability to create it themselves.
Even with all the tools above, someone may still struggle to see their vision fully realized on their own. Don’t be afraid to look into the artistic community!
There are plenty of graphic designers on every platform and even some freelance ones who are always looking for work! Social media is a great way to check out samples of someone’s crafts before reaching out to them for a possible job.
