1. VIPKID
BACKGROUND
Established in 2013, this company focuses on bringing the English language to Chinese elementary school children.
COMPANY MISSION
The process is relatively straightforward, but spirited members are wanted for the teaching position. VipKid’s emphasis is on having FUN while learning in a one-on-one lesson.
SCHEDULE
You get to create your own schedule and choose the number of hours and days desired, however, you must sign up for at least 7.5 hours.
LESSON PLANS
Next, the lesson plans are created by the company along with their grading system so you have all the necessary tools you need, however, if you have your own material, you can use that as well.
PAY
The starting pay ranges from $14/22 per hour depending on experience.
2. HAWO
BACKGROUND
Established in 2011, this company also focuses on helping Chinese students learn English.

SCHEDULE
You can set your own hours, but a minimum of 10 hours is required and you must be able to work on the weekends. The schedule operates like a real classroom where you work with the same students for 2-4 weeks, then you rotate out and meet new students after you’ve gained some experience.
LESSON PLANS
The company trains you on how to create valuable lessons for the students. They also have a great space to network with other teachers in order to learn from one other.
PAY
Your base pay is $18 for a 45-minute lesson.
3. EDUCATION FIRST

They focus on the opportunities people could and should have; they want to show people cultural beauty while keeping it academically intact.
SCHEDULE
They offer the usual incentives that go with personal scheduling, but they also offer 24/7 technical support.
