Tatiana Amico couldn’t bear the thought of not being able to spend time with her child due to being at work, so she turned her passion for health into a business for helping people! Read our interview with the lovely Tatiana below…
What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve always wanted my own business. I just couldn’t stand the thought of having to be on someone else’s schedule and working my ass off to build someone else’s dream. After I found out I was pregnant, the thought of leaving my son, not being able to do things with him, not being able to attend school functions or stressing about taking time off if he got sick literally made me sick to my stomach. It was at this time I also really started falling in love with health and helping others. One day my mom said, “Maybe you should start a business”…so I did. I had envisioned myself making an impact on the world and this was how I decided I would do it!
Tell us about your business.
I’m a health coach. I provide women the tangible tools to learn how to eat right and to exercise, but the magic happens with the support and the coaching I do in my exclusive group. I help women realize the importance of taking care of themselves, making themselves a priority, and knowing they deserve to have all they want. I also help women build their own health coaching businesses because firstly, I love seeing women go after more and building a business definitely helps with that and secondly, I can’t do this alone! There are so many people out there that need help!

Where is your business based?
I’m in Buffalo, NY but I do mostly everything online.
What were the first few steps you took to get your business up and running?
Sharing a ton of value on social media and helping women in groups. I then created a website to add blogs with info. I took a lot of free trainings on how to market and then I invested in trainings.
What has been the most effective way of raising awareness of your business and getting new customers?
Social media for sure and all the value I give. Give give give. Building relationships with people AND being ME.
What have been your biggest challenges so far?
It’s really hard seeing women struggle and thinking they are being a bad mom/wife if they take care of themselves. It can really hurt my heart sometimes. But in regards to myself – comparing, thinking I wasn’t good enough, fear of failure, getting frustrated with people that don’t get it…lots of mindset stuff.
How did you overcome these challenges?
A lot of mindset work, surrounding myself with the right people, and continuing on even when I fail as well as learning from my failures and there have been a lot.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I remember all the women I have helped, all the thank you’s and messages and I also make sure to reach out to my tribe. I have also had to take some “Tati time” to re-focus. And of course, remembering my reason why for doing this and what will happen if I give up.
How did you distinguish yourself from your competitors?
I really just make sure to be myself. I share my life, who I am, what I like, etc. I know I’m not for everyone and that’s okay. I do not coddle my clients. I work with women that truly want to change and are willing to put in the work to make a lifestyle change.
What is the best advice you have received recently?
Speak your truth no matter what. There are so many that need to hear it. Some may get mad, but you need to get your message out there.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
TAKE ACTION! BE CONSISTENT! Ha ha clearly I’m super passionate about that.

What are your goals for the next few months and how are you striving to achieve them?
I want to get my opt-in out to more people and add more people to my email list. I want to streamline my business more. I also want to get at least one speaking gig.
